GRAYSON, KY (June 1, 2026) — FIVCO Area Development District (ADD) is responding to public inquiries to clarify its limited connection to a recently announced artificial intelligence data center project at northeast Kentucky’s EastPark industrial center.

Maryland-based TeraWulf, a company that builds and operates data centers, recently announced plans to develop a large-scale AI facility at the EastPark industrial complex off Interstate 64. TeraWulf’s campus would span 285 acres of the industrial park’s roughly 860 acres.

While FIVCO ADD’s office is located within EastPark, the agency is not a party to the development agreement, has no knowledge of its contents and holds no management or decision-making authority related to the project.

FIVCO ADD remains committed to its core regional mission of supporting local governments and communities across its five-county service area. While the agency plays no role in the data center development, FIVCO ADD stands ready to assist local partners should educational resources, training opportunities, or technical assistance related to data infrastructure or economic development topics prove useful to the region.
