FIVCO Area Agency on Aging & Independent Living (AAAIL)
Mission Statement
To provide information, education, and supportive services for older adults and disabled people of any age that will contribute to a good quality of life. The older adult and disabled population residing within the FIVCO ADD Region (Boyd, Carter, Elliott, Greenup, & Lawrence counties) will have access to the numerous resources that they need to thrive.
The FIVCO AAAIL operates under the FIVCO ADD Board of Directors and is advised by the FIVCO Advisory Council on Aging. The FIVCO ADD Board is comprised of locally elected officials and citizen members from the counties and cities. The FIVCO Advisory Council on Aging was established and operates under the requirements as outlined in the Older American’s Act.
FIVCO AAAIL engages in partnerships and collaborations with other programs or agencies in our service area to meet the needs of our consumers.

FIVCO Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living
Area Plan for Fiscal Years 2019-2021
Area Plan for the administration and provision of specified adult and aging services in the planning area:
BOYD, CARTER, ELLIOTT, GREENUP, AND LAWRENCE COUNTIES
The FIVCO Area Development District, acting as the Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living, is seeking public comment for the Fiscal Years 2019 – 2021 Area Aging and Disability Plan which utilizes Older American Act and State funds for in home and community based services to the five counties located in our region. These services include Title III, Homecare, SHIP, and Ombudsman services. Area Agencies on Aging and Independent Living are the agencies designated by the state to be the focal point for Older Americans Act programs within a planning and service area.
The Area Plan information will be available for public review at the FIVCO ADD office until March 15, 2018 when a Public Hearing will be held at 10:00am. The Plan may also be viewed by DOWNLOADING A PDF HERE.
