Area Plan for Fiscal Years 2023-2025
Area Plan for the administration and provision of specified adult and aging services in the planning area:
BOYD, CARTER, ELLIOTT, GREENUP, AND LAWRENCE COUNTIES
The FIVCO Area Development District, acting as the Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living, is seeking public comment for the Fiscal Years 2023-2025 Area Aging and Disability Plan which utilizes Older American Act and State funds for in home and community-based services to the five counties located in our region. These services include Title III, Homecare, SHIP, and Ombudsman services. Area Agencies on Aging and Independent Living are the agencies designated by the state to be the focal point for Older Americans Act programs within a planning and service area.
The Area Plan information will be available for public review at the FVICO ADD office until March 17, 2022, when a Public Hearing will be held at 10 a.m. at the FIVCO ADD office.

FIVCO Area Development District Notice to the Public
The FIVCO Area Development District hereby gives notice that it is the policy of the agency to assure full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil rights Restoration Act of 1987, and related Nondiscrimination authorities in all programs and activities. It is FIVCO ADD’s policy that no person in the United States of America shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, low-income or Limited English Proficiency be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any of our programs or activities receiving Federal financial assistance.
Any person who believes they have been subjected to discrimination under the title VI and related Nondiscrimination authorities has the right to file a complaint.

To file a complaint, the written complaint must be submitted to the address above within 180 days of the alleged discrimination, unless the time for following is extended by the Title VI Coordinator to allow for accommodations for limited English proficient individuals and/or oral complaints to be documented and/or translated.
